Great food, quesadilla was a little bland. Service was great, tacos were awesome. They just need some small cleanup (menus, tables, outside) to make this place better. Menu was dirty and felt sticky, table wasn't clean, and it was wobbling all over. Other than that great place for a great meal ! Would def go back

The inside of the place is nice, clean and what not...but for the burritos however...
Got a Pollo Asado burrito, and it was dry AF!!! Very disappointed. The chicken tasted like it was bought from a frozen packet from Safeway. No flavor. I ordered a "grande burrito" (Super burrito) and didn't have sour cream, one piece of avocado, and no cheese...I'm like are you kidding. My friend got an al pastor burrito and he even said al pastor was super disappointing. In my opinion, you can mess up al pastor, if you can't make it, then don't serve it.
Anyways I would not recommend. -

Sometimes the thing you place earnestly in your mind comes to you. Do you believe this? Too philosophical? How about this, do you like tacos? Me too, and I'll be damned if I didn't want some really bad a couple Saturdays ago. Problem is I had to work a bit, and I couldn't think of a good taqueria near my location. But there's a pretty good eatery called Boy Meets Chicken, or Chicken Does Something With Rice, a name similar to that I think. You probably know it, that place on Tasman everybody goes to. It's pretty good so I moved my thoughts away from tacos and headed there.
Unfortunately I arrived to discover it was closed. There was a note on the door: "closed for training." Bummer. This little strip is full of restaurants and when I looked to the left there it was, Dona Maria Mexican Restaurant. I guess tacos were my destiny this day after all, so I walked through the doors for the first time. I'm glad I did.
Looking at the menu it had all of the straight-up standard Mexican fare. Prices looked great. I proceeded to order a bunch of stuff for me and my cohort. The food didn't take too long, maybe 10 minutes or so. We took it to go back to work and eat.
Driving back I began to worry about the two hard shell carne asada tacos I ordered. Hard shells sometimes get soggy. I feared the worst, so when I arrived at our destination I hastily unpacked the goods. Lo and behold the shells were still hot and crispy. Taco day of destiny indeed! I dug in. The flavors were fantastic. I especially liked how they put a big slice of avocado on each taco instead of guacamole. Yeah, guac is good and all but I like unadulterated original avocado better. After a couple bites I decided to spice it up, so first I tried a little of the red taco sauce they included. It had a nice smoky burn to it. Then I tried a dab of the green chile arbol sauce they also provided. It was lively. I put a little of both on my tacos and they played nice together. I also bought a soft shell carnitas taco and stashed it in the fridge for later.
Good things were reported to me about the pollo asado regular taco I picked up for my colleague. It covered her plate. She also had most of a carne asada quesadilla and liked that a lot with the green taco sauce.
We worked into the evening, so when dinner time came and went we both dug into our leftovers. They were even better. Letting them sit a bit brought all the flavors together.
I found a really solid taco joint. I'll go again, I'm sure. -

Came here and got a sope. Door was good. Didn't get my agua de horchata until I had to literally get up and ask them if I could serve my self the drink I purchased. Other than that I would say it was good haven't tried anything else to critic them on their authenticity of Mexican food.

A tiny shop that you might pass over at the end of a primarily food dominated plaza. I've only ever come here at off peak times when there is ample parking in the lot shared by a Carl's Junior and a few mom and pop shops. It's a homey place with a few patio seats that are shaded with an umbrella or the overhang of the plaza and when you walk in, it's like you're in Dona Maria's house. The staff that work there are very nice. There hasn't been someone at the counter waiting when I've walked in but somehow they know and someone has come bustling out every time. Today I ordered a grande taco with al pastor and shrimp taco for take out. I believe that with the shrimp taco you get a choice of corn or flour tortilla. She seemed to prompt me only after this order. The shrimp taco comes topped with onions and avocado and was packaged with 2 limes. The limes were a bit dry so it was kind of hard getting the juice from them. There were about 3 big meaty shrimp in the taco. 2 of them were butterflied and cleaned with no shell. The last one still had its vein init so I'm not sure if they just missed this one. The flavor was okay. The second al pastor taco was packed full of meat with some onions in it as well. It was good but not great. I remember my last visit being much better. It might have been the travel time that did it in. My meal was packaged well. Each taco came with two different sauces, each in a tiny plastic cup which did not spill even while tipped upside down. Similarly the tacos didn't leak in the plastic bag either.
